If You Need More Handholding...
Backpacks
Burning Man is an ADHD paradise. It's handy to have a backpack for water and snacks when before starting on your adventure. Remember 1 gallon of water per day to stay hydrated. Burning Man takes place at a desert. (click on the image for more info)

The playa is dark at night, and it's very easy to run into people or things you can't see. Light yourself, your bike, your art and your belongings well (front and back). Consider a good LED headlamp, LED blinky lights, or EL wire to light up your bike and yourself up.

Shoes
The playa is huge, you will be doing a lot of biking, walking, and dancing. It's a good idea to invest in some good comfy shoes! Here's a few that are comfy and have proven to survive the burn or ones with a handy stash pocket!

This is going to be your home for a week, it's best to get a tent that you can stand up in as well as be durable to hold up against strong winds. Avoid mesh tents because dust can easily get in and cover all your belongs. Here are some decent suggestions. If you have the money, shift pods are also a good investment.
